Or is it the attraction of power? Because that’s the first thing you notice about Focus’ new body shape. It virtually ripples with power, even at a standstill. The toned athleticism of its Z-shaped body lines and stylishly elongated headlamps gives a sense of perpetual motion - that Focus is alive inside and out. A true promise of the driving experience that awaits. And it’s not all show either. The body has been injected with ultra high-strength boron steel, four times stronger than standard high strength steel, but much lighter, to deliver where it counts. With greater protection and better fuel efficiency.

Kinetic design

Taking Ford’s signature kinetic design to a new level, Focus’ style is more sporty and dynamic than ever. Athletic and toned, it’s a distinctive presence wherever it goes. Bold, sweeping lines give a powerful sense of energy, from every angle.

Stylised head lights and tail lights

Like the eyes of a dragon, the slimline bi-xenon HID automatic headlights with Follow- me -home function(+ series only), organically wrap around the car’s body, while the fins on the tail lights morph into the car’s flowing lines.

Ultra high strength boron steel

Injected into the body, it allows the car’s frame to deliver greater protection as it’s up to four times stronger than normal high strength steel. At the same time, it’s much lighter so less fuel is needed to power you along.

You don’t need a pilot’s licence to take the driver’s seat in the Focus. But the immediate sense of control this modern cockpit-like interior gives you is no fluke either. Seated low, you immediately feel connected with your car. Everything you need is at your fingertips and in your sights, so you’re in total control. Craftsmanship and attention to detail is obvious in the quality of every finish. Sophisticated use of colour and design creates a crisp, clean interior. Which is why your friends may think you paid more than you did. But that’s just something you’ll have to get used to.

Add front and side curtain airbags and the latest anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and Focus has you protected on all fronts.

Outstanding power and efficiency with Twin independent Variable Cam Timing (Ti-VCT) and Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI)

The Focus delivers responsive and exhilarating power, ready to go when you are, without guzzling fuel. GDI ensures precise use of fuel, while the self-adjusting timing of the Ti-VCT makes sure the engine works at its optimum efficiency, whether you’re travelling in the slow lane or the fast lane.

                                         
PowerShift® 6- speed Transmission

Imagine two clutches, working in tandem to change gears with optimal efficiency. While one clutch connects with the ‘even’ gears the other is simultaneously preloaded with the next ‘uneven’ gear. This technical teamwork results in gear changes that adapt to your driving style, optimising performance and fuel economy. PowerShift® has the responsiveness of a manual with the ease of an automatic.

Torque Vectoring Control in corners

Constantly balances the power between the front wheels so you can enjoy similar levels of road-hugging ability and control of a luxury car. Because G forces give outside wheels more traction in corners, the system automatically applies braking to the inside front wheel and transfers more power to the wheel with the most grip.

AdvanceTrac® Electronic Stability Program (ESP)

The secret behind Focus’ superior handling and agility. Together with anti-lock brakes (ABS), AdvanceTrac® ESP constantly monitors road conditions and your responses, adjusting engine power and braking accordingly to keep your grip on the road firmly grounded.
